Russian Forces Advance: 12.58 km²

Top Advance = 5.07km2, Middle Right Advance = 2.26km2, Lower Right Advance = 3.91km2, Bottom Advance = 1.34km2

Beginning as always on the Sumy border area, over the week Russian troops took control of the village of Bachivsk and are now attacking neighbouring Tovstodubove, where Ukraine has fallen back to.

To the south other troops made some small advances in several different treelines, attempting to move towards the village of Ulanove. The forces deployed in this area are still miniscule compared to the proper fronts, really only a unit or two per side, with no signs of any reinforcements being deployed here by Russia or Ukraine so far.
Russian Forces Advance: 12.45 km²

Left Advance = 2.79km2, Lower Left Advance = 6.62km2, Lower Right Advance = 1.60km2, Bottom Advance = 1.44km2

Onto the main Sumy front, on the west side after weeks of low intensity fighting Russia managed to recapture Kindrativka, close to a year after they lost it. The village is in ruins and there are very few troops present so its usefulness is limited, but it does open up options for Russia if they want to try expand this front further west.

Southeast other forces captured some treelines near Khotin, as skirmishes continue on the outskirts of the locality.

Going southeast again Russian troops secured southern Ivolzhanske and now have a foothold on the other side of the Oleshnya River. They’ve been here for a few weeks at least (video 1, video 2) but Suriyak left this section in the greyzone until there was further confirmation.

To the northeast Russia has also begun a small push on Khrapivshchyna, reaching the outskirts of the village.
Russian Forces Advance: 5.53 km²

Advance = 5.53km2

Out east on the same front, Russia continues attempts to expand its controls of the small forest areas along the border near Myropillya, inching closer to Mala Rybytsya. There has been an increase in shelling and droning in and around the village, so an assault will not be far off.
Russian Forces Advance: 2.86 km²

Upper Advance = 0.16km2, Middle Advance = 2.70km2

Heading to the Kharkiv border area, since late June Russian assault groups have been pushing further into Kozacha Lopan with heavy artillery and air (FAB) support, taking over a large portion of the east side of the town and reaching the southernmost streets. They have not consolidated in Kozacha Lopan, so the battle is still very much up in the air, but Ukraine will need to response sooner rather than later as it’ll be much harder to dig Russia out if they can secure the entire town.
Russian Forces Advance: 50.69 km²

Middle Advance = 44.34km2, Bottom Left Advance = 6.35km2

Moving to the northern front, on the southwest side Russia has managed to consolidate in Symynivka once again, recapturing more of the village and several surrounding treelines, before pushing out into the surrounding area. There have been reports and videos of some scattered clashes in and around Losivka, Shesterivka, Zemlyanyi Yar and Ukrainske, but its difficult to judge whether these are individual DRGs or proper Russian assault groups attempting to advance.

To the east, earlier reports and claims that I’ve briefly mentioned in previous posts have been at least somewhat confirmed. From the beginning of July Russia increased its attacks out southeast of Vovchansk, taking advantage of poorly defended treelines to push all the way down towards Bilyi Kolodyaz. There have also been reports of some clashes occurring near Volokhivske and Zakharivka, although those haven’t been confirmed. Some Russians source have claimed that they have even managed to get into Bilyi Kolodyaz, although I believe they are jumping the gun. Still, the Russians are dangerously close to a town that should have been safe for many months to come, so we’ll have to wait and see how the fighting here develops.
Context

No Advance

Over on the northern side of the Kupyansk front, Russia launched new attacks into Petro-Ivanivka and is currently trying to consolidate in the village.
Russian Forces Advance: 3.74 km²

Advance = 3.74km2

Down to Kupyansk itself, over the past couple of weeks Russia has gradually pushed back out in western Kupyansk, recapturing much of the empty town. Consolidation efforts are underway and it looks like they are being a lot more methodical/careful with this attempt compared to the one last year.
Russian Forces Advance: 4.07 km²

Advance = 4.07km2

Onto the Lyman front, Russia has been working on clearing out some of the Ukrainian groups north of Stavky, recapturing part of the treelines in that area. At the same time both sides continue to send infantry into the fields between Lyman and Stavky in an attempt to take control of the routes into the town.

Within Lyman heavy clashes are ongoing with no end in sight. Russia has significantly ramped up strikes west of Lyman and along the Siverskyi Donets River, targeting Ukrainian supplies and reinforcements trying to get to the town. FAB, artillery and drone strikes continue to shift west of Lyman and are hitting targets in the town less and less, which may hint towards which way the battle is turning.
Russian Forces Advance: 13.87 km²

Top Left Advance = 1.50km2, Upper Left Advance = 1.04km2, Middle Left Advance = 3.36km2, Lower Left Advance = 0.32km2, Lower Middle Advance = 6.38km2, Bottom Left Advance = 1.27km2

Down to the Slovyansk front, on the north side Russia has captured more of the treelines and forest around Kryva Luka, as well as clearing out more trenches next to Kalenyky. Russian DRGs continue to move west towards Mykolaivka which is under heavy bombardment, as the frontline gradually moves in that direction.

To the south Russia has also managed to clear out part of the small pocket next to Rai-Oleksandrivka and are also working to clear the remainder of the village.

To the southwest other Russian forces are similarly clearing out treelines near Dibrova and pushing the frontline towards the canal. With how this front has been moving in Summer so far we may see most, if not all of the canal under Russian control by the end of August.
Russian Forces Advance: 7.01 km²

Advance = 7.01km2

Moving a little south over the week Russia has continued to press the attack in and around Malynivka and Tykhonivka, capturing both villages (were claimed to be under Russian control a little while ago) as well as nearby fortifications and treelines. Russian DRGs have also immediately pushed out and are probing Ivanovka and Vasyuntynske, the next villages in the area.

As you can see marked on the map it is 5.5km from the furthest DRG and the Kramatorsk airport, although its about 6.5km from the city proper. Whilst that isn’t a long distance there are many layers of fortifications between Russia and Kramatorsk, so any battle for the city is a long way off.
Russian Forces Advance: 1.46 km²

Advance = 1.46km2

Heading to Kostyantynivka, clashes continue in and around the city, with Russian troops making it to the northernmost streets of the locality. Ukraine still has some troops within Kostyantynivka but they are scattered throughout several areas and are not able to exert control on any areas. There have also been more and more frequent counterattacks by Ukrainian assault forces trying to get back into the city, without any success so far.

To the southwest Russia has been sending DRGs up towards Mykolaipillya, whilst Ukraine has been trying to push back into Dovha Balka before Russia can consolidate there.
Russian Forces Advance: 7.87 km²

Top Right Advance = 3.03km2, Lower Right Advance = 4.84km2

Over on the Dobropillya front, in the north Russia has stepped up infiltration attempts towards Hannivka, trying to see if it can sneak some soldiers into the town.

To the south Russia has resumed attacks towards Bilytske and Shevchenko, capturing several treelines around the settlements.
Russian Forces Advance: 7.83 km²

Top Advance = 1.48km2, Middle Advance = 6.35km2

Moving to the Novopavlivka front, Russia has restarted some movement next to the Donetsk-Dnipro border, pushing west and capturing some treelines.

To the south Suriyak has also reported that Russia made its way back into Muravka and recaptured the village over the past month or so. Reiterating my comments from several months back, both Muravka and neighbouring Novomykolaivka should be considered as in the greyzone. Neither village has been occupied by soldiers for longer than a couple of days, with troops occasionally moving through the localities to try and attack the other side. Whilst eventually one of them will try and reactivate this area we are unlikely to see much more than skirmishes here as have occurred since late 2025.
Context

No Advance

Onto the Pokrovske front, Ukraine has launched more assaults from Velykomykhailivka, making another series of attempts to push into Russian lines and capture Sichneve, Vorone and Maliivka.
Russian Forces Advance: 27.33 km²

Advance = 27.33km2

Down to the Hulyaipole front, Russia has stepped up its efforts to push towards the villages west of Verkhnya Tersa and Vozdvyzhivka, reaching Lyubytske, Lisne, Rivne and Kopani.

Suriyak has also showed Russia as recapturing Verkhnya Tersa and Vozdvyzhivka in this post, undoing his corrections/update from a few weeks ago. If you’ve been paying close attention you may notice this means Suriyak has undone about 90% of the big Ukrainian advance/correction he posted in June, with the frontline basically back to how it was before then. As I said at the time I think he jumped the gun on some of the counterattacks and has now got back to where he was before, so the gross numbers for Russia and Ukraine are going to be a bit thrown off.
Ukrainian Forces Advance: 1.95 km²

Upper Right Advance = 1.06km2, Top Right Advance = 0.89km2

Out to the Orikhiv front, Ukraine has launched new attacks on Mala Tokmachka and Bilohirya, capturing small parts of both localities. The slow, low intensity battle that has raged on and off here is continuing, and I do not believe there will be any larger changes in territory, just this small trading of positions.
Context

No Advance

Onto the Zaporizhia front, Ukraine and Russia continue to trade blows over parts of Plavni and Stepnohirsk, with neither side being able to advance. At the same time other Russian troops have launched new attacks northeast of Kamyanske, aiming to recapture much of the greyzone and fields lost to Ukraine in their small counteroffensive a few months ago.
