Russian Forces Advance: 15.72 km²

Top Advance = 7.51km2, Bottom Advance = 8.21km2

Starting off on the Sumy border area, Russia made some smaller gains in the fields in two areas, taking over more of the area east of Tovstodubove and pushing up right next to Ulanove. Heavy shelling continues in both of those villages but for now it does not seem like Russia has entered them.
Context

No Advance

A little to the south of the previous picture, between the northern Sumy border area and the main part of the Sumy front, Russia crossed over the border in yet another new spot, with a few infantry moving up over the railway line and trying to reach the village of Vovkivka.

This makes it the eight Russian border crossing in Sumy Oblast this year (some of the others merged together later on), but we will have to wait and see whether this is another minor probing of Ukraine’s responses or a more indefinite crossing as seen in picture 1 and a couple of the other areas. Combined with the crossings in Kharkiv Oblast and Russia has really stepped up its diversions in 2026 compared to previous years, trying to further stretch Ukraine’s manpower and open up gaps in the line.
Russian Forces Advance: 6.99 km²

Upper Left Advance = 0.53km2, Lower Middle Advance = 0.58km2, Bottom Right Advance = 5.88km2

Context
Heading to the northern front, starting on the northwest side clashes continue within Kozacha Lopan, with the only reported change being the Russian capture of some houses on the north side of the town.
Context
To the southeast, Russia secured the last few houses in Kudiivka where they entered last week, capturing the village. They are now trying to move onto neighbouring Buhaivka and Hoptivka, whilst Ukraine is shelling them heavily.
Context
Southeast once again, following their earlier probing on the west side of the Travyanske Reservoir in mid-July, Russia has started a slow push through the treelines and smaller forest areas, further stretching Ukraine’s resources. The goal of this small group of troops will likely be to try and advance along the smaller rivers and reservoirs to Vysoka Yaruha (east of Alisivka), before linking up with the Russian forces in the area northwest and creating a wider front.
Russian Forces Advance: 2.66 km²

Lower Left Advance = 1.33km2, Lower Middle Advance = 1.33km2

Context
Over on the other section of the northern front, starting on the southwestern side, Russia has made some minor advances near Zemlyanyi Yar and Volokhivske, trying to force the front southwards and attempting to secure Bilyi Kolodyaz.
Context
To the east there was a small correction from last week’s post, with Ukraine still holding the western houses of Vasylivka and the fighting ongoing between it and neighbouring Ivanivka.

Going east again Russia and Ukraine continue to clash over Vilkhuvatka and the neighbouring treelines, whilst other Russian DRGs have been probing the villages of Kupyne and Shyroke.
Context

No Advance

Down to the Slovyansk front, Russian operations into Mykolaivka have stepped up over the past week, with widespread reports of their presence next to the power plant, hospital and northern streets of the town.
Russian Forces Advance: 41.14 km²

Top Left Advance = 0.73km2, Upper Right Advance = 2.96km2, Top Right Advance = 1.34km2, Left Advance = 3.36km2, Middle Left Advance = 19.30km2, Bottom Left Advance = 13.45km2

Context
Moving to the Kostyantynivka front, on the far east side Russia has continued gradually clearing the villages next to Chasiv Yar, capturing the last section of Mykolaivka over the week (different one from the town mentioned in picture 5).

West of this, Russia has been continuing their attempts to move into Izehvka, Osykove and Oleksijevo-Druzhkivka, with the only confirmed progress being a small advance towards the first of those three. Simultaneously Ukraine keeps trying to slip small infantry groups back into the edge of Kostyantynivka with limited success.
Context
Going southwest, due to the deteriorating situation in the pocket south of Druzhkivka Ukraine has been losing ground on several sides. Over the past two weeks Russia has cleared out the Ukrainian forces from near the quarries at the bottom of the pocket and secured a large number of treelines, which led to taking over most of Mykolaipillya. There were also similar advances on the east and western edges of the pocket, with more treelines coming under Russian control near Raiske and northeast of Mykolaipillya.

If Russia can clear out the pocket and level the front here it will make it much easier to push to Druzhkivka and weaken the western flank of Osykove.
Russian Forces Advance: 30.11 km²

Right Advance = 18.10km2, Bottom Advance = 12.01km2

Context
Onto the Dobropillya front, Russia has maintained their pressure in the quarries area, capturing a wider stretch of treelines and closing in on Kucheriv Yar. It has been a little over a year since Russia first took the village (happened 2nd half August 2025) but they are now incredibly close to taking it once again, now in a much better position and not reliant on an exposed salient for supply and reinforcement.

To the west, Russia continues trying to push around Dobropillya city, with DRGs moving deeper into Hannivka and the exposed fields north of it.

Further south, other Russian groups secured the mostly abandoned fields south of Matyasheve before capturing the village. They are now trying to push into Dobropillya village and nearby Novohryshyne, as well as clearing out any Ukrainian stragglers who are still hiding out in some of the areas they overran earlier.
Context
Ukrainian Forces Advance: 9.77 km²

Advance = 9.77km2

Heading to the Hulyaipole front, Russia has continued its infiltrations and flag raising deep behind Ukrainian lines, whilst the Ukrainians have continued to retake ground and are back in control of Lyubytske. They have also been stepping up their attacks on Vozdvyzhivka and are looking to drive Russia out once again in the ongoing back and forth here.
Context
Russian Forces Advance: 3.57 km²

Middle Left Advance = 1.14km2, Middle Right Advance = 2.43km2

Out on the Orikhiv front, with no reportable changes within the town (both sides keeping very quiet), there were some minor Russian advances in the outer fortifications near Mala Tokmachka, which have changed hands many times over the past few years.

The information blackout regarding Orikhiv and Mala Tokmachka from both sides has meant its anyone’s guess as to what is happening in both localities. Being cautious, I would guess Russia has not been able to secure much ground at this point, only managing some successful infiltrations that were unexpected and made it further than they have ever gotten before, but I won’t entirely rule out them being able to consolidate if they can bring more troops in.
Ukrainian Forces Advance: 1.31 km²

Lower Right Advance = 1.31km2
