Russian Forces Advance: 1.66 km²

Advance = 1.66km2

Starting on the Sumy border area, in the south, Russia continued on from last week and cleared slightly more of Ulanove. As always incredibly few troops from both sides deployed here, so any movements are slow and progress takes months to be realised.

To the north Suriyak has indicated another Russian group moved into Tovstodubove, however there has been virtually no change here for a long time. It is marked as greyzone here but in all likelihood should be Ukrainian controlled as the Russian DRGs that have entered it several times in the past few months never consolidated.
Ukrainian Forces Advance: 64.92 km²

Left Advance = 41.06km2, Right Advance = 2.44km2, Bottom Right Advance = 21.42km2

Onto the main Sumy front, over the past month Ukraine launched numerous counterattacks across the frontline, retaking a number of positions in several areas. On the west side, they resecured Pysarivka and Nova Sich (most still held and was greyzone respectively), whilst recapturing Korchakivka and Mala Korchakivka. As has become the standard, geolocations and evidence for all this is incredibly sparse, but from what is being claimed/reported the Russians have been pushed back out of the forest area here.

To the east, Ukraine has also been attempting to get into Yunakivka and the Sadky farms once again, with some soldiers crossing the fields to try reach those localities.

Southeast, Ukraine recaptured Mohrytsya (was mix of Ukraine controlled, greyzone and small Russian foothold), as well as some of the forest areas east of it.
Russian Forces Advance: 10.48 km²

Advance = 10.48km2

Over on the northern front (as this part of the Kharkiv border area has now combined with the main section of the front), Russia has sent some DRGs south of Kozacha Lopan towards the nearby village of Nova Kozacha as they attempt to infiltrate the locality.

To the southeast, whilst clashes continued in Tokarivka other Russian infantry from both the east and west pushed in and captured Vysoka Yaruha, linking the frontlines within Ukraine. This has almost no practical usage at this point, as the connected area only continues a small village and some thinner treelines, but Russia will at least be looking to take neighbouring Alisivka and push the frontline further south.
Russian Forces Advance: 28.76 km²

Top Right Advance = 2.77km2, Upper Right Advance = 5.98km2, Right Advance = 20.01km2

Moving to the other part of the northern front, on the far north side Russia has started to become active once again next to the border, with some troops entering and capturing the minor village of Shabelne (was empty).

To the southwest, other Russian troops entered Mala Vovcha and began the process of clearing it out.

Southeast, as Russia continues to attack the pocket from each side more localities have come under their control, with Komisarove, Potykhonove, Ozerne and Bereznyky reportedly captured. If the names sound familiar, these were the localities Russian DRGs entered a few weeks earlier. Both the Russians and Ukrainians do not have many soldiers in this area, but with the Russians pressing in from all sides and the Ukrainians hampered but limited supply they are being forced out or cleared from these localities one by one. I believe the pocket will endure well into November, as the Russians clearly do not have a force large enough here to rapidly collapse it, but at the current rate it will eventually fall.

To the south, Russia and Ukraine continue to clash over Vilkhuvatka, with claims regarding Ukraine recapturing the locality after some small mechanised attacks being inaccurate, or at the very least pre-emptive.
Russian Forces Advance: 5.46 km²

Upper Middle Advance = 5.13km2, Middle Advance = 0.33km2

Down to the Kupyansk front, Ukraine has maintained their attacks towards the Oskil River from Zapadne recapturing some of the forest area and attempting to push south past Kalynove. Because the Russians control the eastern bank of the river no encirclement will occur from this, but it will hamper troop movements between Dvorichna (north) and Kupyansk.
Ukrainian Forces Advance: 3.38 km²

Advance = 3.38km2

Heading to the Lyman front, Ukraine continues to attack Russia positions along the Zherebets River for another week, without success. There was a small correction in Russia’s favour to the north (still holding treelines west of Novovodyane), but aside from that there has just been heavy clashes and an enormous amount of shelling.
Ukrainian Forces Advance: 7.34 km²

Advance = 7.34km2

A little south on the same front, Ukraine has recaptured more of the treelines outside Lyman as they carry on their assault on Zarichne (above the k).
Ukrainian Forces Advance: 23.65 km²

Advance = 23.65km2

Moving to the Slovyansk front, Ukraine has once again launched a series of counterattacks east of Kramatorsk, pushing Russian DRGs back from Orikhuvatka and Russian troops out of their small foothold in Zapovidne (thus retaking the village). Ukraine has also been sending DRGs through to Rai-Oleksandrivka, as they try to force the frontline back over the canal.
Russian Forces Advance: 18.10 km²

Top Advance = 1.66km2, Lower Left Advance = 11.55km2, Bottom Advance = 4.89km2

Onto the Kostyantynivka front, in the north the Russian troops that took the trenches above Fedorivka have now moved into and captured the minor village. They have not properly secured the area yet, so they will be looking to capture the nearby treelines and bring more soldiers in so they can push further west.

To the southwest, Suriyak has reported a number of treelines around Mykolaipillya as coming under Russian control in the past week. I’d say these are likely still greyzone, owing to the fact that for the past two months only DRGs have moved through this area and there hasn’t been any confirmation of these areas being properly secured.
Russian Forces Advance: 33.68 km²

Upper Right Advance = 1.93km2, Left Advance = 13.29km2, Middle Left Advance = 18.46km2

Out west to the opposite side of the Kostyantynivka and the Dobropillya fronts, starting on the east side, the Russian troops that entered Novohryhorivka some time ago have now clearly most of the village and are trying to secure the remaining streets. They are highly vulnerable to a Ukrainian counterattack from the ridge north of them, so they’ll need to not only take the locality but secure the nearby fortification line if they wish to hold the area.

To the west, Suriyak has marked Hruzke and Vesele as under Russian control following reports of their recent successful push. As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago with Zolotyi Kolodyaz, I do not believe Russia has properly secured this area, with it mostly being DRGs scattered around the front, some much further north than shown here. Thus it would be more accurate to say that much of this area is greyzone or mixed control, rather than these localities being solidly Russian held.

Similar to the above, immediately west Russia also allegedly took over several treelines and much of Novovodyane following their entry the week before. Again, most likely just infiltration and not proper control, with Suriyak jumping the gun.
Ukrainian Forces Advance: 18.22 km²

Upper Middle Advance = 7.26km2, Lower Middle Advance = 6.25km2, Bottom Advance = 4.71km2

Over to Dobropillya and its surrounds, and things are going to get a bit complicated. In the city itself, Russia continues its assault, but with Suriyak marking the earlier Russian infiltration into the industrial area and treelines west of Dobropillya as being back under Ukraine’s control.

Immediately south, the village of Dobropillya was captured by Russia (realistically happened a little while ago), whilst Suriyak also reported that Ukraine had made its way back into Novohryshyne and Matyasheve at the same time.

Because I am quite behind I’ll spoil the next post somewhat to clarify the situation; Suriyak backtracks on most of the Ukrainian advances shown here in the next set of updates. Even when he released this update we had a number of geolocations of the Russians well into Dobropillya, so his changes made little sense even at the time and he fixed them up the following week.
Ukrainian Forces Advance: 2.72 km²

Advance = 2.72km2

Down south to the Pokrovsk front, on the north side Ukraine pushed back out of Hulive and are now attempting to get back into neighbouring Myrne.

To the south clashes around Serhiivka continue, with Russia and Ukraine both attempting to advance but unable to consolidate.
Ukrainian Forces Advance: 6.33 km²

Advance = 6.33km2

Heading to the Komar front, to the north Ukraine continued their attacks on Dachne and Komar itself, with no confirmable change in the frontline.

Southwest, other Ukrainian groups have been assaulting Shevchenko, capturing the treelines north of it and entering the village.
Russian Forces Advance: 11.00 km²

Advance = 11.00km2

Onto the Hulyaipole front, Russia regained control over most of the treelines up to and including the railway and are back in Vozdvyzhivka. Realistically there was no wide Russian push here, with Suriyak instead walking back most of the Ukrainian advances he showed in the previous post (which I mentioned at the time).

To sum up the situation on the ground, Russia and Ukraine are both present in Vozdvyzhivka and Verkhnya Tersa, with it being a constant back and forth over the same treelines and streets. No side has been able to break the stalemate here for several months and I do not expect there to be much change by the end of the year.
Russian Forces Advance: 34.22 km²

Top Right Advance = 12.11km2, Left Advance = 21.55km2, Middle Left Advance = 0.56km2

Out to the Orikhiv front, to the northeast Russia resecured Novoselivka and entered Yehorivka, attempting to reach Omelnyk. If they can capture that village it would likely collapse much of the frontline south of it, however stiff Ukrainian resistance has meant Russia has made minimal progress here.

To the west, we have another larger correction from the previous week, with Suriyak remarking a number of fields near Novoandriivka and Novopavlivka as still being under Russian control (undoing most of Ukraine’s advance here from the last post). There was also a minor correction in favour of Ukraine, with a few treelines and fortifications next to Novopavlivka still holding on.
Russian Forces Advance: 3.75 km²

Advance = 3.75km2

Swinging out to the Zaporizhia front, Ukraine continued their counterattacks from Pavlivka, retaking several treelines as they head for Mali Shcherbaky and Shcherbaky.

Out west mutual infiltration are still ongoing between Russia and Ukraine in Stepnohirsk, Plavni and Prymorske, as has been occurring throughout most of the year.
