The Russian Breakout around Ocheretyne continues. Russian forces captured the area northwest of Ocheretyne, and the southern half of Arkhanhelske. There were early reports 2 days ago that Russia had entered Arkhanhelske, but they were not confirmed until today. As mentioned in my last post, Ukrainian forces in the central trench system were almost certainly going to withdraw due to the threat of encirclement, which has occurred today. Russian forces have yet to finish clearing the central area, however it will almost certainly happen in the next 24 hours.
From here, Russian forces will continue pushing north, with the assault groups on each side (Ocheretyne assault force and Novokalynove assault force) now joining forces, and will attempt to take the remainder of Arkhanhelske, before moving onto Kalynove. Ukraine must stop or stall Russia in this area, as they do not yet have many defences prepared in the area north of Kalynove. If they can't Russia will increasingly destabilise Ukrainian positions, and will be able to keep advancing north with increasing momentum.
To the southwest, Russia has begun to advance out of Soloviove, pushing up the road to Sokil and down the river towards Novopokrovkse. The Ukrainian 47th brigade, based out of Sokil, is currently clashing with Russian forces in an attempt to stop or stall them.
