We continue on from the previous update, with the situation for Ukrainian forces continuing to deteriorate. The Ukrainian 31st Mechanised Brigade, despite heavy support from the 47th Mechanised Brigade, has been pushed back from Prohres. Russian forces have also started to capture the fields to the southeast of the village, as Ukrainian troops retreat across the river.

To the south, Russian forces captured a large portion of Novoselivka Persha, with Ukrainian forces finalising their withdrawal to Mezhove. Some fighting continues in the town at this point.
Russian Forces Advance: 0.93 km²

Advance = 0.93km2

Ukrainian forces in the northern warehouses of Hlyboke were unable to hold their positions, and Russian assault troops managed to recapture the area, forcing Ukraine back. Intense artillery and FAB usage made it too difficult for them to hold this area, as the warehouses were simply wiped off the map. Ukraine may try flank Hlyboke again, however will have a far harder time due to the lack of structures to hold.
Ukrainian Forces Advance: 4.03 km²

Advance = 4.03km2

Sometime over the past few weeks, Ukrainian forces recaptured some of the forests west of Starytsia. There are very few troops in this area for either side, and the tree cover is dense, making determining advances/map changes difficult.
Russian Forces Advance: 3.03 km²

Top Advance = 1.33km2, Middle Left Advance = 0.06km2, Middle Right Advance = 1.00km2, Bottom Advance = 0.64km2

Following on from Picture 1, the situation for Ukraine here continues to get worse. On top of beginning to move into Vovche and capturing more of the eastern fields (middle 2 advances), Russian forces in Lozuvatske (north) made several assaults west, getting within a few hundred metres of the main road. The 31st Mech Brigade continues to retreat across the board, and is struggling to establish itself in new positions due to losses and the pace of Russian advance.

In the south, Russian forces captured the remainder of Novoselivka Persha, confirming control of the town. From here, they will likely consolidate their positions, before trying to clear the remaining fields east of the Vovcha river.
Russian Forces Advance: 5.05 km²

Top Advance = 1.69km2, Middle Right Advance = 3.36km2

On the Kupyansk front, one of the most interesting recent developments was the rapid capture of Pishchane (top middle red dot). Russian forces exploited weak Ukrainian troops to quickly capture the village. This trend looks to have continued somewhat, with Russian forces continuing to advance west along the Pischchana River, getting within 6km of the Oskil River. Whilst it is highly unlikely this spearhead will continue all the way to the river (need to widen it first), alarm bells must be sounding for Ukrainian forces, as they are at real risk of having a major supply road be cut.

Between Berestove and Novoselivkse (the 2 red dots), Russian forces managed to push Ukrainian troops right back, capturing a number of fields and treelines. This advance was only a matter of time, as Ukraine simply did not have the soldiers to defend this area from attacks on 3 sides for long.
Russian Forces Advance: 0.34 km²

Top Advance = 0.23km2, Bottom Advance = 0.11km2

In Niu-York, Russian forces made some more small advances west of their spearhead, heading towards Panteleimonivka. Heavy clashes continue within the town itself, however no updates have come out about progress by either side.
Russian Forces Advance: 4.68 km²

Top Advance = 0.49km2, Middle Advance = 0.34km2, Bottom Advance = 3.85km2

Hopping back over to west of Ocheretyne once again, things have continued going downhill for Ukraine. In the north, Russian forces operating out of Lozuvatske have made simultaneous advances to the north, and to the west.

Back over around Prohres, Russian forces have continued having great success against Ukrainian troops. Not only did they capture Vovche, but they had quickly expanded their control of the railway and field area, capturing multiple trench networks and abandoned vehicles. Ukrainian troops retreating from Vovche were subject to artillery and FPV drones, some of which can be seen here, suffering losses.

The 47th Mech Brigade, despite using multiple Abrams and other tanks, could not stall Russian forces, and have also begun to retreat. Ukrainian sources claim that the 47th lacks the infantry to try compensate for the 31st, who have taken heavy losses and are disorganised. The 47th itself has been heavily battered by the fighting in the past 2 months, and have lost a significant number of their tanks and IFVs.

Whilst the advances here have been increasing, do not expect a massive 'breakthrough'. Ukraine has a number of other trenchlines and defence networks to the west (pic below), so will likely be able to stabilise somewhat. I must admit that the pace of Russian advance has caught me off guard, and I was not expecting Russia to make this make progress West, so quickly.
Russian Forces Advance: 0.00 km²

No Advance, Grey zone expanded

In Krasnogorivka, Ukrainian retreat from the town continues. Russian forces are advancing along the northern and western sides, with an unknown number of Ukrainian forces trapped in the residential area. Ukrainian forces will almost certainly try hold the north side of the river.

Russian Forces Advance: 0.62 km²

Advance = 0.62km2

West of Novopokrovka, Russian forces made an opportunistic advance, capturing some Ukrainian fortifications just north of the main road. The very top part of this advance actually puts Russia slightly further north than they were when they stopped advancing here in 2022.
Russian Forces Advance: 0.28 km²

0.10km2. Middle Left Advance = 0.18km2

In the Toretsk area, Russian forces continue to make progress. Russian forces have crossed the open ground into Zalizne in the north, whilst also closing in on the central road on the south side. Ukrainian forces are beginning to pull back towards the forest area, only moving into the town when they try to contest Russian advances. The area between these 2 sides will likely fall to Russia within the next few days, as any Ukrainian forces holding the apartment buildings retreat to the northwest.
